Most people like to read their horoscope, even people who say they don’t believe in them. What used to be treated as a serious science in the past has now become part of popular culture. Astrology has become big business and people like to know what the future holds in an uncertain world. We tend to believe in it when the prediction is good and dismiss it if our horoscope says something negative! We are fascinated by our astrology star sign and what it says about our personalities.

The star signs are divided into the four elements; Fire, Water, Air and Earth. People born under astrology star signs in the same element are likely to get on with each other more easily than with those born in different elements.

Fire is the element containing Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. Aries is the ram, ruled by the planet Mars. They have tons of energy, are very competitive and don’t like to lose. They are also generous and kind and exciting to be around. Leo is the lion and is ruled by the sun. They have big egos to keep in check and can be impatient. Their good qualities are loyalty and generosity. Sagittarius is the astrology star sign of the centaur and is ruled by Jupiter. They love to go out and have fun and often speak the truth to the point of being blunt.

Earth contains Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. Taurus is the bull and is ruled by Venus. They are cautious, weighing each decision carefully, and show great loyalty. Virgo is the virgin astrology star sign and is ruled by Mercury. They are perfectionists and known to be nit pickers. They are hard workers and communicate well. Capricorn is the goat and is ruled by Saturn. They can be shy and sensitive, which sometimes makes them appear to be moody.

Air contains Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. Gemini is the sign of the twins and is ruled by Mercury. They don’t like to stay in one place and have a thirst for knowledge, with a tendency to be impulsive. Libra is represented by the scales and is ruled by Venus. They have a love of justice and will champion the underdog, and are happiest when they are in a relationship. Aquarius is the water bearer astrology star sign and is ruled by Saturn. They make friends easily but keep a part of themselves to themselves. They are confident, which sometimes comes across as arrogance.

Finally, Water contains Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Cancer is the crab and is ruled by the Moon. They are home loving and sensitive, with a tendency to moodiness and crabbiness. Scorpio is the scorpion and is ruled by Pluto. They like to be in control and can succumb to jealousy, but they are resourceful and loyal. Pisces is represented by two fish and is ruled by Neptune. They are a placid astrology star sign and have difficulty saying no to requests for help. They like tranquility in their surroundings.

Imagine a lifestyle completely different from your own. At this point I suppose most people will ponder the endless possibilities of wealth, beauty and fortune. That’s basically what everyone does. They begin wishing for a life that’s better in some way, shape or fashion. Of course it has to involve a massive income and a beautiful partner. The truth is most of us don’t really think about the other half. You know, the ones who are less fortunate or have less than we currently do. Imagine what this may be like. Then there are the ones who choose a different way of life. Take the amish people for instance. These folks are not forced to live in the old-fashion manner in which they do. It’s all about choice and sticking with the old ways and traditions.

I doubt you know any amish people. Okay, that’s a pretty big assumption on my part, I know. Personally I can’t say that I’ve even ever spoken with modern-day Amish people. However, I did used to see them all the time. Back when I lived in a very small town in Northeastern Iowa, Amish people would ride through the town on occasion in their horse and wagon. It was quite bizarre for me to witness this. It’s hard to believe that some people choose such a limited way of life in such a modern era. Well, limited in the technology sense anyway. I always heard my father gripe about the Amish people that resided near by. He was a game warden and simply couldn’t agree with their ways of life. The Amish would kill animals to eat, regardless of whether or not they had a hunting license or the game was in season. I guess you could say this is living off the land. For me it’s difficult to hold them accountable in the same manner. They live in their own little world so to speak. Should the Amish people be subject to our laws and ways of life, even if their world fails to affect us in any way?

It’s a good idea to learn about the Amish people before you judge them. In fact, it’s always a wise plan to do your homework before making ridiculous assumptions. One thing I have learned about these people is that they work together and they’re amazing carpenters. A group of them built a cabin for my brother up in Iowa, and it is outstanding. Get the scoop on their way of life today.

If you are looking for a good African American Christmas Ornament, you might have to look a long way to find something that satisfies your tastes. Yes, there are a lot of African American Christmas Decorations out there, but most of them are really not all that nice. Basically, they are just normal Christmas tree ornaments repackaged as being African American Christmas Ornaments for some cheesy, lame reason. I have even seen plain old glass baubles sold as an African American Christmas Ornament set because they were in red, yellow, and green. Have you ever heard of something quite that silly? I know that I have not.

A lot of the time, a so-called African American Christmas Ornament is actually an African Christmas ornament repackaged to appeal to people who are trying to recapture a sense of their black heritage. For example, many times people will sell a silly little wooden sculpture of some safari animal as an African American Christmas Ornament just because that animal comes from Africa. Even more insulting, sometimes I have seen silly stylized African masks and figurines sold as an African American Christmas Ornament. Talk about perpetuating stereotypes. It is quite a silly state of affairs, if you ask me!

In my opinion, the best way to get an African American Christmas Ornament is to make one yourself, and that is that. You should think of what it means to be a person of color in the United States, and put that into your craft. Use everything about it to make the best African American Christmas Ornament that you can, and I am quite sure that you will not fail in what you are doing. On the contrary, Christmas tree decorations are always that much better if you make them yourself. An African American Christmas Ornament is no different. If it comes from the heart, it is a sure thing that people will see that it is not just another commercial Christmas decoration.

Of course, if you are going to go out and make yourself an African American Christmas Ornament, you probably need to know a few things about how to do arts and crafts. One of the easiest ways to make an African American Christmas Ornament, or any other Christmas decoration for that matter, is to shape it out of clay. Be sure to put a place where it tapers so that you can hang a string from it, bake it in the oven, and you are done!

There are many people who have a very traditional idea about Christmas, however few of these really realize that most of the Christmas traditions that we have come not from Bethlehem, but from Northern Europe. Everything from the snow in the manger scene to the Christmas tree actually starts in European countries, and not in the holy land. With this in mind, why should we not change Christmas when it suits us to fit our cultures and our individual styles.

This is why I have begun to collect African American Christmas Decorations. There is definitely a unique African American style which has penetrated the American mainstream as much as any other style that there is, and it seems like a shame not to celebrate it. African American Christmas Decoration not only celebrates authentic African traditions, but also the styles and contributions of generations of African Americans. Getting or making your own African American Christmas Decoration is the best way to celebrate your own heritage if you are an African American, or to celebrate tolerance and cultural diversity in America if you are not. I am not saying that you should go all out and discard all of those blown glass Christmas ornaments that you have stocked up to put all over your tree. But what I am saying is that that same tree will look all that much better with African American Christmas Decoration strung up alongside the more traditional Christmas decor.

Of course, what exactly constitutes African American decorations really varies depending who you are asking about it. Some people take African American Christmas Decoration to mean African Christmas decoration, and like to adorn their trees with charms shaped like giraffes, gazelle, and stylized masks. I do think that this has a place in African American Christmas Decoration, but I do not think that it is enough by itself. In reality, African American Christmas Decoration has so much more to offer. When I think of African American Christmas Decoration, I think of Christmas ornaments that celebrate and remember African American history. That means celebrating literature, music, education, farming, and all of the other areas in which African Americans have made a contribution to our culture, and doing it with a distinctly African American style. Of course, that is just me. The beauty about African American Christmas Decoration is that you can do it in whatever way is the most meaningful to you.

Have you considered an adult education for your future? Hey, if you’re putting it off, I have to ask, what are you waiting for? You’ve already done the high school thing, and that’s great. You’ve achieved your diploma and now it’s time to progress on to that next level of adult education. I hate to say simply because some many people dread hearing it, but in this day and age an adult education such as a bachelor’s degree is practically essential. Now, I know what you may be thinking because I thought it too at one point in my life. You’re about to tell me that you can acquire a decent paying job without going to college for four years. Well, if that’s the case and you’ve done this, then more power to you. However, in my experience most of these jobs are not the jobs that people really want. Are you doing what you truly love?

There are many reasons for attaining an adult education. First of all it dramatically increases your chances of being employed. Second of all it makes you much more desirable in the corporate world. Meaning that you’ll have a better chance of getting that position you truly want. Another benefit to acquiring an adult education is pay. You are certainly more likely to make a better salary if you go on to college and achieve a four year degree. Okay, and the last reason for getting a college education concerns what you want. Sure, as we all know, you definitely can find a job without a college degree. Now, is it what you want to spend your life doing? That’s something to really put some thought into. Maybe you need a bachelor’s degree to do what you enjoy. Wouldn’t that make it all worth while? Sometimes it has more to do with enjoyment and less with income. You can’t acquire certain jobs without a college degree. Okay, so we’ve established why you need an adult education. Now it’s time to weigh your options. In this day and age you have a few to choose from. Maybe you want to give online schooling a shot. That way you can keep your current job and take care of your adult education from home on your spare time. Does this sound ideal or what?

When it comes to adult education and college degrees, I really try and push the concept. In all honesty I feel that everyone should strive for a higher education. It has been made so convenient these days. I simply can’t see why anyone wouldn’t want to.

One of the most frightening thing about abusive relationships is that you might not even know that you are in one. When most people picture an abusive relationship, they think about a man hitting a woman and perhaps his children as well, but although this kind of relationship certainly is abusive, it is by no means the only form that abuse may take. An abusive relationship can be physically abusive, like the one mentioned above, or the abuse can take a more subtle form. Abusers can be male or female, and they can be involved in an emotionally abusive relationship, as well as a physically, or even a verbally abusive one.

The fact is, people like to protect their loved ones, and so they will often deny it to themselves when an abusive relationship is taking place. The victim might even opt to blame him or herself, rather than facing the fact that their partner is treating them in a way that they should not. It is easy to see why someone would cover up their own abusive relationship in order to protect the romantic involvement that they have going on with the person, but it is important that they break the cycle. If they do not, the abuse will continue indefinitely, and they will suffer needlessly, along with their friends, relatives, children, and anyone else who cares about them. The fact is that you have to face the music sooner or later, and you might as well do it sooner so as to break the cycle of abuse.

An abusive relationship does not consist solely of someone making threats, nasty comments, or hitting you, although all of these things can be part of these relationships. A lot of what makes abusive relationships abusive has to do with the way the abuser views the victim. If he, for example, watches her every move and tries to stop her from being with her friends, either with threats or with emotional manipulation, he is an abuser. Abuse is not really about hurting the other person so much as it is about finding ways to control or manipulate them. The real cause of an abusive relationship is the desire of one partner to control the other, and be in charge of everything he or she does. If one person feels this way about the other, there is simply no way for them to have a healthy life together.

As a health care professional, I’m often asked questions about Hatha yoga. Although, originally, I had little knowledge and no information about yoga, over time I’ve amassed quite a library, and have even started to practice it myself. You see, the practice of yoga – especially Hatha yoga – has become one of the most successful tools for improving health, fitness, and general well-being. Although I still stand by Western medicine for its ability to treat acute conditions, I think we have a lot to learn from the East in terms of maintaining a good standard of overall health. During a practice like yoga, tai chi, one of the many other internal arts, can be of great benefit in keeping healthy, young and flexible even into old age.

Because it is kind of sad, much of the information about yoga that you find is questionable at best, and downright bunk at worst. Some of it is put out by self-appointed gurus who really know very little about yoga, but claim that they can perform miracles. You have to watch out for these people – they are everywhere. This is especially the case if you are trying to find out about kundalini yoga. Much of these supposedly billing and masters out there and actually dangerous cultists, and information about yoga that you get from them is flawed at best.

If you want to learn about yoga, the best thing to do is to take a class in it. Most yoga classes teach what is known as Hatha yoga. This refers to any type of yoga that involves physical exercise as its primary activity, whether it is Vinyasa yoga, Bikram yoga, or some other form. They are all actually very similar, but you might have to try out a few before you find one that works for you best. Your teacher will be someone who is serious about yoga study, and has studied the other forms including meditation. Once you are practicing yoga, you can use your teacher as an invaluable source about yoga will tell you all you need to know.

There has been a lot of study about yoga and its ability to keep the spine, the bones, and the muscles in excellent condition, but other aspects of this art have been neglected by science. Yoga claims to be able to move the body’s energy around and help it circulate more freely, and science has yet to adequately investigate this claim. Even many scientific experts about yoga have some doubts whether or not it is true, but experienced practitioners swear that it is.

For the longest time, the term ‘alternative dating’ meant something different than what it means now. Though everyone has an idea of what the ideal or common type of date is, there was room for improvement in how people met. When the world changes, some of the age old rituals have to change with it. Speeding dating came a long, and so did online dating. Now that things have progressed even further, the meaning of alternative dating seems to be something else entirely.

Today, someone who engages in alternative dating is someone who has needs or issues that are not main stream. This means they enjoy a lifestyle that seems to be shunned by some. This isn’t really fair, as many like me believe that a person is who they are, and there should be no shame in something as long as it is legal. As long as consenting adults are dating who they want to date and doing what they want to do, there is no harm done. Though it was hard for this type of alternative dating to take place long ago, it is now much easier thanks to the Internet.

However, now that alternative dating is now more accessible, there are some who use it for things they should not be doing. This often involves married people who have tastes they think their spouse would not understand. They use the Internet to meet like minded people and they cheat on their spouse. They think they are getting away with something, and that they are only hurting themselves, but cheating is cheating, and putting the alternative dating label on the activity will not change that. The best thing is to get a divorce and spare the spouse the pain and agony of finding out something like this is going on.

For the person that is free to date, there are many great resources online. Though there are many sites that say they cater to alternative dating, some aren’t really sure how to handle it. There are some sites that are far superior, and it would pay to take the time to look for something with a good reputation, and also one that will protect your identity if that is an issue for you. The world is far from the open and accepting place it should be, and until then, it’s nice to know there are some sites that protect and serve their customers in such a manner.

I can still remember when the massive AIDS epidemic hit the scene. Suddenly everyone was blaming the gay community for a deadly virus known as HIV. This is the virus that can be transmitted via sexual contact from one individual to another. The virus that causes AIDS. For those who’re unsure about the acronym, it stands for acquired immune deficiency syndrome. This horrific health affliction destroys the human immune system, and without an immune system you’re unable to fight off any bacteria or viruses. Imagine what the flu could do to someone without an immune system. The results are tragic. Anyway, in recent years an AIDS quilt has been developed. This is a sort of foundation designed to battle the AIDS pandemic.

Anyone can view the AIDS quilt on the web. It’s not just any ordinary quilt, but rather a symbol of knowledge and recognition. It represents the countless individuals that have suffered and died from this fatal disease. It represents those who wish to donate to the AIDS foundation in order to help our medical world progress further toward a cure. Furthermore, the AIDS quilt is a constant reminder of what harsh STDs are out there. I believe it’s imperative that people know this. Men and women, young and old, should keep in mind the dangers of casual and unprotected sex. It’s no longer about mere pregnancy. In this day and age it’s about dying. But you don’t have to take my word for it, the AIDS quilt speaks for itself.

Education is the key when it comes to HIV and other STDs. We have to be willing to share this knowledge with our children. As time moves forward, high schools are getting better about educating our children regarding the dangers of sex. The facts of AIDS are being taught in public schools. But it shouldn’t stop there. Talk to your teens about the HIV virus. Knowledge is their weapon. You can also pull up facts concerning the AIDS quilt online and let your children see just how serious it is. When it comes to STDs and casual sex, we can’t just expect our kids to know everything. It’s our duty to teach them.

Abortion is an issue that almost all people have an opinion about. Either people are pro-choice (they believe people should be able to choose whether to have an abortion) or they are pro-life (they believe abortion should be illegal). No matter what they believe, most would agree that no person should make a decision about a pregnancy without being truly informed about all her options and the possible repercussions that may accompany each decision. That is why an abortion article can be so valuable to so many people, especially those that are pregnant.

There are many unwanted pregnancies that occur each and every day in the world. With the unwanted pregnancies comes the decision to have the baby or to abort the pregnancy. A good place to begin the decision making process is to begin to look at any abortion article that may contain information that will be beneficial.

The abortion article should discuss all sides of the abortion issue. It should also discuss the issue in an unbiased way. For the most part, a man and woman who are trying to decide whether or not to see a pregnancy through to full - term, should not read an article that is written by someone who has a particular interest in the outcome. That is to say, abortion articles written by religious leaders should probably not be read. On the other side of the coin, articles by abortion doctors or people who are involved with abortion clinics should probably not be read either. However, it may be a good idea to read an equal amount of abortion articles written by both sides.

Any woman who becomes pregnant when they are shouldn’t and / or don’t want to have a baby is under an extreme amount of stress. Often the last thing she needs is to have a bunch of people telling her what she should think, how she should feel, and what she should do. That is why reading an abortion article may be the best way to go. That way a newly pregnant woman can begin to get an idea about what she wants to do with her pregnancy before other people begin to pressure her.

As was mentioned before, an appropriate abortion article should not try to persuade a woman to keep the baby or to abort the pregnancy. The abortion article should provide all the facts and information in a straight forward and unbiased way so that the woman (possibly with the help of the man who is responsible for the pregnancy) can make an informed decision that she will feel comfortable with for the rest of her life.
